❤️Looking for a fun way to have students practice adding multiples of ten, finding ten more than a number or skip counting? The challenges in this activity are differentiated. You will see the letters BL, OL and AL on each page for below level, on level and above level.
Students will work to complete an escape room challenge that will involve adding ten more to a number or adding a two-digit number to a multiple of ten. The last puzzle will have students skip counting and counting backwards.
There are 5 different tasks students must complete in order to escape.
You can have students work as a group, with a partner or alone. You can also choose to allow them to use manipulatives or not.
Students will solve 4 different task cards to reveal a code number. Once they know the code number from each card they will write it on the robot code sheet on the robot that matches the task number. Once they have all 4 code numbers written on the robot code sheet they will let you check it. If they have all 4 numbers right they get to “open the safe” and get their robot pieces.
In this download I have also added the full lesson plan that goes along with this game for you to get a sample of my differentiated small group math plans for 1st grade!
