These interactive read alouds align to 1st grade standards and were made to keep students involved and engaged during the whole lesson as they turn and talk, respond in journals and more! These interactive read aloud lesson plans and activities will leave your class buzzing with excitement about reading! Also, each Friday, the class will complete a cute craft to show their mastery of the skill.
Interactive read aloud first grade resources included:

Interactive read alouds are a great way to teach important reading skills while having the students stay focused and involved. When teaching with this method, students will be listening, thinking, talking with a partner, writing, sharing and so much more.
Each week there will be one main standard to be focused on but other standards will also be tied in just as a brief introduction of that skill or a review. These interactive read aloud first grade resources were designed for a 1st grade classroom but could easily be used with kindergarten and 2nd grade as well.

Teachers will have access to daily scripted lesson plans. Each book is meant to be covered in 5 days.
Using these interactive read aloud lesson plans:
- Day 1 is a full read through with little interruptions. An essential question is presented that will be discussed later in the week.
- Day 2 is meant for the 1st half of the book. On this day teachers really dig into the text and have students responding to questions either out loud, with a partner, in a journal all while the class creates an anchor chart.
- Day 3 the second half of the book and follows the same format as day 3.
- Days 4 and 5 are a culminating activity that is meant to have students show that they have mastered the standard.
- Day 5 has a fun craft for students to complete.
